companies, and others. The archives are easy
to search and the texts are simple to load to your computer. E-books
are available in various formats, which you will see on many of the
sites listed below. The main three formats that you will see

* PDF - This is the format you can read with the free Adobe Acrobat
E-book.
* LIT - This is the format you can read with the free Microsoft E-book
Reader. You may want to install in later on your
own.
While
PDF is the top e-book format, the Microsoft format is growing in
popularity. And their reader offers the Text-To-Speech
software.
* EXE - This format is what is called a stand-alone e-book.
It
means that your don't need a specific reader to read the
book.
These e-books
are made with a
program that creates a frame around the
electronic text that provides the basic browsing
keys needed to move
through the pages and to search for specific
words.
