Want to see the heart of the City of Houston? As important and as impressive as they are the downtown area, the medical center, NASA, the professional sports venues, the Galleria are NOT the heart of this great city ... it is that truly Texas sized ditch we call the Port Authority that stretches from just east of the original Allen's Landing where the founders of the city situated the original town square out to the Gulf of Mexico skirting past Texas City and Galveston along the way. Want a memorable day? Take the tour boat operated by the Port Authority and see this busy port the way the ocean going cargo ships and tankers view it! click here
